I do not take many things seriously. Art is the exception because it is an act of worship. The act of art making has always given me a sense of connection with the Universe.  The connection is palpable but hard to explain and it is my deepest desire that each piece exhibits the pure awe and wonder I experience while creating it.I have always been a day dreamer and often bring fantasy and storytelling into my work. My art is a visual compilation of the experiences I have had, photos I have taken, stories I have heard, my many daydreams, etc. With all these beautiful resources gifted to me, I weave together a new narrative told through my hand. I am not a fan of limitations and work with whatever feels right for each piece whether it be delicate watercolor, juicy acrylic paint, or the rich texture only paper and pencil can evoke. The work chooses its medium. In my mind’s eye I see a vision of each work and I just go with the flow (because that is really all you can do with anything in life).
