Anastazja Jasinska

Anastazja Jasinska was raised as the middle child in a lively Polish family based in the East Midlands.
Navigating life while experiencing loss, a heart condition and migraines before the age of 18, Anastazja found solace in art and creativity.

After completing a BA Hons Illustration at Norwich University of the Arts, Anastazja worked in customer services by day and on her creative practice by night.

“The Sun and Moon are recurring images throughout my work, a reminder that no matter how dark the night may be, the sun will rise. Another day will come. Another day to feel the sun, to share our light, or hear the hum of a bee, bumbling about.”

The natural world has always been an inspiration: the patterns, the shift of colours during a sunset or sunrise, the way light touches the things around us.

Anastazja is a multimedia artist, drawing and painting in her hand bound sketchbooks as a daily exercise to help improve mental wellbeing and creativity. Along with binding sketchbooks and traditional methods of illustration, Anastazja has over 10 years of experience in the wood burning art of Pyrography. Bringing her joy of art and nature together in a sensory match made in heaven.
